ROTIX manual scanner

The Rotix is a manual “chain” scanner. It is designed to provide encoded probe position of probes circumferentially around tubes and pipes. The Rotix is completely configurable for both phased array and traditional UT (Ultrasonic Testing) with single or multiple probes.

The Rotix – CEG011 is a manual chain scanner designed to provide encoded probe position of two phased array and two TOFD probes circumferentially around tubes and pipes. The integrated Probe Positioning System allows the operator to adjust the probe offsets without removing the scanner.

The Rotix – CEG012 is a manual chain scanner designed to provide encoded probe position of two phased array probes circumferentially around tubes and pipes. A double wheel chain is used to straddle the weld. This allows the scanner frame to be centered on the weld to reduce wandering and reduce the width of the scanner. The Rotix chain can be adapted from 10.2 cm – 96.5 cm (4 in – 38 in) OD using multiple combinations of short and long links.

The Rotix – CEG013 is a manual chain scanner designed to provide encoded probe position of four probes circumferentially around tubes and pipes. A double wheel chain is used to straddle the weld. This allows the scanner frame to be centered on the weld to reduce wandering and reduce the width of the scanner. The Rotix chain can be adapted from 152.4 mm – 965.2 mm (6 in – 38 in) OD using multiple combinations of short and long links.

The Rotix – CEG027 is a manual chain corrosion scanner with a built in positional encoder and index encoder. It is designed to translate phased array probes and wedges around non-ferrous piping and tubes for the purpose of corrosion inspection. Urethane wheels built into the chain links provide smooth constant rolling when scanning. The Rotix chain can be adapted from 101.6 mm – 965.2 mm (4 in – 38 in) OD using multiple combinations of short and long links.

Rotix – Reduced Width Scanner
The Rotix  – CEG017 Reduced Width Scanner features an encoded probe-holding link, along with double wheel links used in Jireh’s weld frame chain scanning systems. This reduced width link can be used to facilitate inspection in applications where scanners with minimal footprint are required (i.e. coating/insulation removal near a girth weld, elbows, flanges, etc.). Single probe scanning requires a width of only 10 cm (3.94 in)2, and dual probe scanning can be achieved with a width of only 25 cm (9.84 in)2.
